It’s Party Time in Vico: Flavors That Bring People Together and Tell Stories
Villa Coralia at Festa a Vico 2025
Where flavor becomes emotion, and emotion becomes a gift
When taste meets the soul, something is born that goes beyond the dish itself. Festa a Vico is not just a food festival: it’s a tapestry of stories, faces, recipes, and ideals that come together in the heart of the Sorrento Coast. For us at Villa Coralia, participating in this event means identifying with those values: conviviality, excellence, love for the region, and the desire to bring beauty to the world—even through small gestures.
From June 9 to 12, 2025, Vico Equense transforms into a true stage for flavor, where renowned Italian and international chefs, artisans of taste, and advocates of a cuisine that fosters culture and solidarity take center stage. This year, among the stars, names such as Massimo Bottura, Gennaro Esposito, Carlo Cracco, Quique Dacosta, Ana Roš, Antonia Klugmann, Alex Atala, Manu Buffara, Emanuele Scarello, Franco Pepe, and many other leading figures in contemporary gastronomy will shine.
They are the guardians of ancient knowledge and new visions, who—through tastings, masterclasses, and gatherings—inspire chefs, food enthusiasts, and guests in a grand collective celebration of flavor. From the “Dinner of the Stars” to gourmet walks through the historic center, from wine masterclasses to the “Cammino di Seiano,” every event is an invitation to slow down and savor the very best.
On Monday, June 9, the day will begin with a discussion at the Cinema Teatro Aequa, where experts and cultural promoters will discuss the nomination of Italian cuisine as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This important event will feature Maddalena Fossati Dondero, editor-in-chief of *La Cucina Italiana*; Pierluigi Petrillo, professor and UNESCO expert; and Gennaro Esposito, the driving force behind the event.
In the evening, “Bites of Italy” will take the stage—a spectacular dinner where chefs from every corner of the world will present unique dishes inspired by Italian cuisine. Among them: Massimo Bottura, Alex Atala (D.O.M., São Paulo), Manu Buffara (Manu, Curitiba), Himanshu Saini (Trèsind Studio, Dubai), Quique Dacosta (Dénia), Antonia Klugmann, Giancarlo Morelli, Sal De Riso, and many others. Proceeds from the evening will go to charity, in keeping with the spirit of the entire event.
The following day, June 10, will feature the Repubblica del Cibo, a veritable explosion of flavors in the streets of Vico. More than 200 chefs will transform doorways, courtyards, and shops into culinary stations, offering moments of pure gastronomic pleasure. At the same time, in the cloister of the Santissima Trinità, some of Italy’s finest trattorias will serve their signature dishes in an intimate and evocative atmosphere.
Also on June 10, gourmet lunches featuring renowned chefs and sommeliers will be held at the Torre del Saracino, while June 11 will be dedicated to the rising stars of haute cuisine, all within the same enchanting setting.
Finally, on Tuesday, June 11, the event will close in grand style with the famous Cammino di Seiano, a food-and-wine tour through the streets and marina of Seiano, where approximately 75 Michelin-starred chefs will cook live, followed by the much-loved Dessert Storm: 50 master pastry chefs will create a veritable “storm of desserts,” bringing the event to a close with a sweet and exhilarating finale.
There will be no shortage of tastings of signature wines and spirits, immersive experiences, surprises from international guests, and the involvement of young students from culinary schools—such as those from In Cibum in Pontecagnano—who will have the opportunity to gain unparalleled hands-on training.
But what makes Festa a Vico truly unique is its spirit of solidarity. Every event is linked to a fundraiser in support of important social and healthcare organizations such as the Umberto Veronesi Foundation, San Patrignano, the Santobono Hospital Supporters Foundation, the Luna Blu Foundation, ALTS, the Pro Foundation, Noi con Voi per le Mici, and Never Give Up. Participating also means donating, helping, and giving back. This is a philosophy we deeply embrace, because here at Villa Coralia, we too believe that true hospitality is built on care, listening, and responsibility toward others.
